Our client, a specialized engineering firm focused on power infrastructure projects, is seeking a Protection & Controls Substation Project Manager. This fully remote role supports the full lifecycle of substation projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams to ensure delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, drafters) in the design and modification of high-voltage protection & control systems.
- Manage projects from pre-proposal through construction closeout.
- Develop and maintain scopes of work, schedules (MS Project), and budgets.
- Coordinate with business development, clients, and internal leadership.
- Support procurement and contract management.
- Provide mentorship and ensure project financial tracking/reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 2+ years as a PM on high-voltage substation P&C design projects (15–500kV).
- Strong organizational, communication, and project finance skills.
- Advanced MS Office proficiency, especially MS Project.
- Experience in protection & controls engineering design highly preferred.
- PE license and PMP certification are a plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.
